Shaun T’s Inspiration for Artists
A series of 11 illustrations based on a mash-up of the DVD workout series INSANITY and inspirational quotes about art, design and creativity. Each illustration is based on a still from the Plyometric Cardio Circuit; the backgrounds were experimentations in layering, textures, databending, and breaking down typography (I’m a ‘neo-modernist’ by nature, so I couldn’t completely let go of legibility).
Each print was originally a 4″ x 6″ postcard, but you can now own your very own 2012 calendar with all 11 images plus 2 new images created as single-color t-shirt prototypes. The calendars are perfect for that ‘mopey, uninspired artist that everyone has in their immediate or extended family!’
