Student Work: My Favorite Book Cover

My Favorite Book Cover teaser

Conceptual book cover project for GRA 3110: Graphic Design I. Students were asked to bring in a favorite novel at the beginning of the semester and then trade with someone else in the class. At mid-term, they revisited the novels by creating book covers that were conceptually linked to the stories. The caveat was that each book cover had to contain non-computer-based elements.

At the end of the project, each student was asked to grade the book cover designed for their ‘favorite book,’ as they were the best-equipped for determining how successful the final solution was. Toward the End of Time designed by Brittany Mrva; The Bell Jar designed by Joseph Nuñez and 1984 designed by Hunter Payne.
